Truck Down? Call Us First.
When a refuse truck stops working, the first call should be to RDK. We'll walk through what's happening, help arrange a short-term rental to keep your routes moving, and discuss repair options. Talking it through is always the right first step.
Call. Rent. Roll.

Common Questions
FAQ
What should I do when a truck breaks down?
Call the emergency line at (813) 241-0711 first. We can talk through what's happening, discuss whether a rental can keep your routes running while you handle the repair, and let you know honestly if our shop has capacity for the work.
Do you have rental trucks available right now?
Rental availability changes daily. RDK maintains a rental fleet specifically for this scenario — front loaders, rear loaders, and roll-off trucks. Call to confirm what's currently available; rental inventory turns over fast.
Learn more on the rental program page.
What if I need help after 8 PM or on a holiday?
The emergency line is staffed until 8 PM Eastern, 7 days a week, including holidays. After 8 PM, leave a voicemail or submit the service inquiry form on this page. We monitor messages overnight and respond first thing the next morning.
How do you bill for emergency service?
When we are able to take on emergency service work, it's billed at our standard service rates — we don't charge "emergency premiums" for fast response. Parts and any third-party coordination are billed separately. For existing fleet customers we have on file, we can typically work on net-30 invoice terms; new customers may be asked for a credit card authorization or deposit before service.
Specifics will be confirmed when you call.
