Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Can any government entity use these contracts?
Eligibility varies by contract. FSA contracts are limited to Florida government entities. NPPGov and Sourcewell contracts are available to eligible government, education, and nonprofit organizations across the United States and, in some cases, Canada. Contact us and we'll help confirm your eligibility for the appropriate contract.
Do we need to complete our own bid process if we use a cooperative contract?
No. One of the primary benefits of cooperative purchasing is that the competitive bid process has already been completed by the contracting agency on behalf of all eligible members. You can proceed directly to purchasing under the existing contract without conducting your own solicitation — saving significant time and administrative resources.
Are cooperative contract prices competitive with bid pricing?
Yes — often more so. Cooperative contracts leverage the combined purchasing power of thousands of member agencies, which typically produces pricing equal to or better than what an individual entity could negotiate through its own bid process. The contracts are publicly solicited and awarded through a competitive process to ensure best value.
How do I get pricing for a specific truck through one of these contracts?
Contact our team with your organization's name, the contract you'd like to use, and your vehicle requirements. We'll provide a formal quote reflecting the contracted pricing and all applicable line items. There's no obligation to proceed, and the quote process is free.
What if the specific truck spec I need isn't listed in the contract?
Cooperative contracts typically allow for ancillary items and custom configurations beyond the base specifications as long as the pricing methodology is consistent with the contract terms. Contact us with your requirements and we'll work with you and the contracting agency to ensure your purchase is fully compliant.
Is there a cost or membership fee to use these contracts?
There is no fee charged to member agencies for using NPPGov or Sourcewell cooperative contracts. The Florida Sheriffs Association contract is open to all eligible Florida government entities at no enrollment cost. You simply confirm your eligibility and purchase directly through the contract.
